The state of Queretaro is in the central part of Mexico. The border states of Queretaro are: San Luis Potosi to the north, Hidalgo to the east, Michoacan and the State of Mexico to the south, and Guanajuato to the west.

There are different types of weather in the state, in Amealco, Huimilpan and Pedro Escobedo, the average temperature is between 53.60°F and 64.40°F. In Queretaro City, Corregidora, El Marques, Ezequiel Montes, Cadereyta, Tequisquiapan, San Juan del Río, Colón, Peñamiller and Toliman, the temperature is lower during winter but warmer during summer, between 44.60°F and 77.18°F.

There is an interesting ethnic and cultural heritage from the prehispanics as well as from the European conquerors, which can be observed mainly in the architecture.

In the city of Queretaro, the baroque architecture can be admired in buildings like San Felipe Neri, Santa Rosa de Viterbo and the Teatro de la Republica. (where the current Mexican Constitution was proclaimed). You can also visit Juriquilla, a resort spot with spas and golf courses and many houses in small communities.

There are many paths to ride bikes in Tequisquiapan, and in San Juan del Rio you can also fly an aerostatic balloon.

The cuisine is excellent, made with ingredients such as corn, chile, mushrooms, and fruits. Arts and crafts (shopping) are available in most markets and in shops where you will also find nice furniture, wooden crafts, and many more items to choose from.

Many people select the city of Queretaro and its vicinity to live. It is close to Mexico City and it has very good private schools. The climate is very nice and the people are friendly.
