Fishing in Ensenada PDF Print E-mail

Ensenada is located just 70 miles south of the border from San Diego. It is a perfect spot to own a vacation home or a beautiful place for retirement. Even if you just go for the weekend there are many activities for your enjoyment.

Ensenada used to be a small fishing village and is still a great place to go sport fishing with the whole family with the great advantage of having to travel very short distances by sea to get a good catch. Fish such as Bass, Cod or Yellowtail can be found at a very short range and you can return after a couple of hours. The price for the boat trip is not expensive and includes the fishing canes and necessary equipment; however adults do need a fishing license prior to departure which you can get when you pay for the boat rental. Kids do not require the fishing license.

If you are a more experienced fisherman and want to go on a long range trip you will be able to catch Tuna, Albacore and Dorado. If you are lucky during the months of December to February you might spot a few whales.
